She plots her work in advance and takes long in her paintings making sure that they are produced to perfection. She also includes different characters in her paintings based on materials and color.

She takes her time while preparing paintings since there are hidden messages in her paintings. She also promotes American cultural history through her paintings on American folk-art traditions

She uses her work to provide knowledge and increase awareness to her viewers. She claims that one has to let the portraits come up automatically without forcing anything. Consequently, her work has been featured in various museums in the U. S providing her viewers with breathtaking scenes in her paintings.
