Good nursing scenario essay example

The Brumbies, a local Charter School has experienced exponential growth in the student body because of the allure of the school’s can-do-attitude. Currently, the school has a student body of 450 students. However, there is only one part time nurse to serve the entire student body. Out of the 450 students in the school, seven students require medication on a daily basis. Out of these seven students, four students take Ritalin while at school. Two other students require inhalers before physical education and recess. The other one student has a long term cardiac problem, and as such takes medication for the problem. The student population is made up of students with many health conditions such as attention deficit hyperactivity disorder as well as bipolar disorders.
These students habitually pose a challenge for the school. Some of the parents of these children prefer using some of the natural remedies for bipolar disorders and attention deficit hyperactivity disorders. The fairly experienced teaching and nonteaching staff in the school are dedicated to help their students achieve their goals while working in the context of a team. the principal of the school, in partnership with community members in order to start some new, unique and interesting classes in the school. The intended classes included meditation, reading, quilting, synchronized reading and sautéing. The part time nurse is contemplating training some of the staff in the school in to assist in administering the medication to the students in the school

Questions

In order to determine the how my mentee is fairing in terms of critical thinking when faced with nursing scenarios, it is important to evaluate the mentees cognitive behavior and actions regarding this scenario. In order to achieve this, the following questions are important:
– Describe the process in planning for this scenario.
– What are the necessary steps? (Who, when, what, where and why)
– What kind of training is required?
