1. 1 Background of the company

The company started by its founder Napoleon Arienza, whose background of expertise could be traced from humble beginning as a typical tailor, to a well-trained, inventive maestro. The company originated with the founder’s decisive move to produce custom- made suits and barongs for personally known clients. Believing that acquired talent must be drawn out to more Filipinos who deserved to take pleasure in wearing high-quality materials, Mr. Arienza ventured in making a novel clothing line for men. Located in Pasong Tamo, Makati, The newly owned business named as Cantilan Boutique. In 1999, the company started creating clothes for many of the biggest names in the country and was the official designer and tailor of former President Joseph Ejercito Estrada.

The immediate success of Cantilan Botique soon caused the company’s owner to consider increasing production facilities and staff. In 2000 and 2001, Mr. Arienza shortly bought more high-speed machines and added more tailors. Furthermore, it started recruiting trainees to later address the advancing demand on the company’s services. Having well-educated fabric cutter who has mastered the art for more than three decades, supplied by best garments and materials, and with labor supply of honest, hard-working people, the business was perfect.

The word about Nap Arienza’s superior work was spread around the country in a moment, making the company’s pool of big-time clients larger and standing. Looking to expand its service line, the company in 2008 came to a decision of taking its intent into the next level. Napoleon Arienza established NAPARIENZA Elegence Clothing under the management of Eilene Balagon.

NAPARIENZA Elegance catered to the corporate uniforms providing excellent service and workmanship to its business clients. In late 2012, the company undertakes another step by establishing the TIÑO Brand, catering to the class A and B market providing Made-to-Order and Made-to-Measure high-end fine dressing for men. On October 2012, TIÑO had a soft launching of its store in the business district of Makati making its products and services more accessible to its clienteles.

This study involves managing the Online ordering for Naparienza Elegance Clothes Manufacturing. The proposed system is a lot easier and it will greatly improve the product monitoring and help make easy transactions through the Online Ordering System.

How the proponents will design and develop an Online Ordering with Inventory System for Naparienza Elegance Clothes Manufacturing? The ordering process in Naparienza Elegance is using a manual system. The hassles of the manual system will be discussed in the specific problem.

These are the specific problems that the proponents observed in the current system that Naparienza Elegance Clothes Manufacturing is using. * How the proponents will create a module that will make an easier way of transaction to the customers through online? The Naparienza Elegance is a newly opened store and still experiencing difficulties in managing and advertising the products. The company is also challenge to maximize profit and increase customer.

* How the proponents will create a module that will monitor the number of Naparienza Elegance products in the inventory faster and accurately? The owner checks the total items and supplies regularly through MS Excel where all data is kept. To be able to have concise data, the owner should look carefully in browsing the records that takes a large amount of time.

* How will the proponents create a module that generates reports? The owner needs necessary reports to view the progress of the company and more importantly is the sales of the company. Reports like pricelist, list of products, inventory sales and stock reports are needed to monitor the condition of the company. .

* How the proponents will create a module that will help Naparienza Elegance to manage the Purchase Order? The Naparienza Elegance manually writes and accepts the list of the delivered supplies. With this kind of task, risk of losing the list of materials and redundancy in checking the items are possible.

1. 3 Current State of the Technology

Currently Naparienza Clothing Manufacturing gives the customers two options in buying clothes. A customer can choose to buy the company’s Ready-to-Wear clothes or have it Made-to-Order. If a customer chooses Made-to-Order clothes, Naparienza will get the measurements, and after making the dress, the company will contact the said customer for fitting of the ordered clothes and also for further alterations. When payment is received Naparienza encodes the bought item in the QuickBooks POS.

To be able to design and develop an Online Ordering with Inventory System for Naparienza Elegance Clothes Manufacturing The proponents’ goal is to create a system that will help the Naparienza Elegance Clothes Manufacturing to improve the system that is existent in the company. The developers shall therefore meet the terms of the expected result of the company for the enhancement of the business transactions.

1. 4. 2 Specific Objectives

* To be able to create a module that will help Naparienza Elegance Clothes Manufacturing to have an easier way of transaction to the customers through online. The system will show the product’s information that customer’s need when ordering online. It will also display advertisement to advertise the product. Many times with the purchase of a product there is an incentive like discounts.

* To be able to create a module that will monitor the number of Naparienza Elegance products in the inventory faster and accurately. The proponents aim to have a phase in the system wherein the owner can supervised the products in the inventory faster and come up with a precise quantity of products. * To be able to create a module generates reports for Naparienza Elegance Clothes Manufacturing Products. The system will generate brief and detailed reports about everyday transaction of the business. Reports generated will be the indication if the business went out well.

* To be able to create a module that will help Naparienza Elegance to manage the Purchase Order The system will help the users to save the inventory and delivery. It will update and check once the materials were delivered.

Scope is what the system can able to do and limitations are some features that the proponents will not develop in the system.

* File maintenance
This provides the history of transaction deals, product recorded, adjustments, list of products, supplier, employee and administrator file. The administrator will manipulate all the maintenance.

* Product’s Information

All the information about the products in this module, the administrator can add, edit, and delete the list of products.

* Supplier’s Information
All the information about the Supplier in this module, the administrator can add, edit, and delete, the list of the supplier.

* Client’s Information
All the information about the customer in this module, the administrator can add, edit, and delete the list of products.

* User’s Information
All the information about the employees in this module, the administrator can add, edit, and delete the list of products.

* Inventory Management
The system is capable of adding removing, updating, editing and auditing all of the inventory items.

* Notifications
The system allows you to view what stocks in the inventory are lacking and meets its critical level. It also shows the perishable goods that are near to be expired. Even the stocks that is not saleable for the month will be prompted.

* Transaction
Module will let the user to process the following transaction:

* Purchasing of Products
Naparienza Elegance Clothes Manufacturing, products to be purchased from the suppliers are recorded and track down and sums up the total number of products purchased.

* Receiving Delivery Order
All the products that have been purchased to the supplier will be recorded and it will show the list of the amount of product that receive partly or full receive.

* Search inventory facility
This will give the owner to search for a specific item needed, by simply typing a record that is necessary. Each form has a search module for in convenient tracking of a specific data.

* Sales Transaction
Products that are ordered and customer’s information will be sent to the shops website. Orders that are not yet paid after 3 days cancelled.

* Generated Reports
This contains of product reports, list of products, inventory sales reports and stock reports.

* Sales Report
Allow the user to view the sales report daily, weekly and yearly reports.

* Product List
This contains the list of available products in the inventory. This will identify the number of products that can be sold. It includes the name of items, quantity of materials, price and the description of each.

* Security module
This contains the username and the password of the registered user in which will limit the use of an unofficial user of the specified program.

* Utilities
* Audit Trail
Tracks down the name of the user who accesses the system, the time and the date of using the system.

* Back-up and Restore
This phase is for viewing files that has been deleted in the system. It will resume from where you stop in case of unexpected of computer breakdowns.

An online shop, e-shop, e-store, Internet shop, web-shop, web-store, online store, or virtual store evokes the physical analogy of buying products or services at a shopping center. The process is called business-to-consumer (B2C) online shopping. When a business buys from another business it is called business-to-business (B2B) online shopping. The largest online retailing corporations are E-Bay and Amazon. com, both of which are based in the US.

This study is beneficial to the following:
1. Owner/Managers
Management and members of Naparienza will enjoy quick and goods online services and will have a friendly and efficient system; it will be also a time of advertising of product. Furthermore, data will be more secure and relations between the Naparienza and its client or customer will be greatly improved.

2. Proponents

The proponents will have a strong knowledge about the information management within public or private organization and will have an opportunity to practice knowledge of the concepts learned from the class as an information technology undergraduates.

3. Customers

The online ordering system substantially cuts down the ordering processing time. The system will benefit the customer for a fast and easy transaction to the Naparienza Elegance Clothes Manufacturing.

4. Future Researcher

Future researchers who will be interested in this thesis can use this project for the purpose of acquiring practical knowledge on how to control, manage or how to create web application for Business Company.
