Jim Crow laws are one of history most significant times. The Jim Crow laws were about separating people between races. This paper will reveal the history of Jim Crow law. It will also reflect on why this is needed.

HEADING

Jim Crow is defined as segregation between races. This was from the time of 1877 and the 1950s. It started it start out just as public transformation then led to include school, restaurants and other public places. Rochelle Bickerstaff, description Client Name, Berkley, MI, September 18, 2013. This person prefers to stay out of publication, etc.
Jim Crow laws were ended during the case of Brown versus public education. The Supreme Court said that segregation was not tolerant nor allow.
The Jim Crow laws affected America in countless ways. This law did not apply only to blacks but also any minorities. It caused a huge separation, which left stereotypes, hatred to collide and make the tensions between blacks and white worst.
With the segregation on the bus, if a white person came on the bus, he or she were allowed the first seats. Blacks would have to move back off the bus or stand if a white person needed a seat. If a black person wanted to eat, he or she could only go black restaurants. All white restaurants were prohibited, even the public water fountain.
This also brought the case of superiority. There were countless whites that felt they were supreme beings and the blacks were trash. The Caucasians felt that African Americans were still part of the slave treatment.
This was one reason why there was an outrage when the races interact when dating. Dating was allowed only between the races. This left countless blacks and whites to hide their love for the danger of their relationship being revealed could be dangerous. It could be dangerous to the point of death.
Lynching was common at that time. If a black person dated a white person, it could cause a lynching by angry white mobs. The law at that time was without rules. That led to countless deaths among the African Americans.
There are those Africa Americans that share their experience during this period. There are those African American who do not like remembering or talking about those times. In one women story from a black woman, she remembered that her mother took her, and her brother to get a pair of shoes as a child. She remembers that she and her brother were not allowed to put their feet into the new shoes. Not even to try it. She recalls that she and brother had to get their foot measured by trace, on a paper bag. That was how they know their shoe size. The stories go further. Stories help a person learn.
This woman also remembered the looks of disgrace and the looks of fear that white people had when her or brother went somewhere. She remembered that when she establishments she always had to go back, to enter. It was forbidden that they could use the front door. The woman said that today she hates going to back door for it bring bad memories.
The memories from this time left deep scars emotionally for black people. Even today, while segregation is outlaw, racism still exists, and people have their own views. Sadly that will always be the case.
A situation that happens after World War II was when veterans were returning home. Black veterans were not treated with the same respect as white veterans. There are fierce debates that when black veteran returned home. There are stories of black veterans that were lynched when they got home.
Again, lynching was general. The famous jazz singer Billie Holiday wrote a song about it called, “ Strange Fruit. “
Again, this left a lot of hatred between both races. When the Jim Crow was forbidden by the Supreme Court, it still left racial tensions between the races. Many years after that came a man named Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr wrote a couple books. He was considered elite, noble and cherish speaker during that time and even today. Again, racism cannot be stop.
That is the sad ugly truth. What is necessary to remember are the speeches and work of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. He helps bring countless blacks and whites together. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr said, ““ Darkness cannot drive out darkness: only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate: only love can do that.”
Jim Crow laws era times will always be deeply rooted and marked in America’s history. It is valuable for a person regardless of the race to understand what the Jim Crow is and how it affected people. It helps enlighten individuals. Sadly, again there will always be racism. The works of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr shall always be remembered. He brought closure to Jim Crow era. “ As Dr. Martin Luther King Jr stated, “ Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere.” Without him, there would have never been justice for all of America. “ I have a dream that one day little black boys and girls will be holding hands with little white boys and girls.” ― Martin Luther King Jr., I Have A Dream
